OUR SIMCHA TREE NEEDS LEAVES
Celebrate, commemorate, congratulate! If you have ever been in our Temple social hall, you may have noticed a tree growing on the rear wall of the room. That tree is known as our “Simcha Tree,” on which members of our congregation place leaves in honor of happy occasions in their families.
It has been some time since we have added a new leaf to our “Simcha Tree,” but we know that there have been many happy occasions in the lives of our members. We hope you will consider celebrating such happy occasions by placing a leaf on our “Simcha Tree.”
The donation for a leaf is only $75.00, and you can make your own inscription on the leaf. “Simcha Tree” leaves can be used to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, births, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, graduations, marriages, new jobs, new homes or any other kind of “simcha.” By placing a leaf on the “Simcha Tree,” you celebrate the happy occasion and support our congregation at the same time. You may order your leaf on-line by credit card, if you wish by clicking here.

Please feel free to speak to Rabbi Brickman, who will be happy to assist you in placing an order for your leaf.

TEMPLE FUNDS
When you need to send a card to a family member or a friend to celebrate a happy occasion or to extend sympathies on the passing of a loved one, why not consider making a contribution to one of our Temple funds? All you have to do is call the Temple office and provide the necessary information. We will send out the card on your behalf. Here is a list of our Temple funds:

Helen & Max Schneid Music Fund
Donations to the Schneid Music Fund are used solely to pay the expenses for our congregation’s choir on the High Holy Days. The minimum donation is $18.00. Donations can be made in honor of a happy occasion or in memory of dear friends or family members. A beautiful card especially designed for the Music Fund will be sent out on behalf of the donor.

Memorial Card Fund
Donations are usually made in memory of dear friends or family members at the time of their passing. The minimum donation is $10.00. A beautiful card especially designed for the Memorial Card Fund with a sepia toned photograph of the Temple on it will be sent out to the family of the deceased indicating that a memorial donation has been made in memory of their loved one.

Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund
As its title indicates, this is a fund used at the discretion of the Rabbi to support needy individuals, charitable causes or other worthy endeavors. Donations of any amount are accepted. A card will be sent out on behalf of the donor, if requested.
Donations to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund can be made either in honor of happy occasions or in memory of loved ones. It is also appropriate to make a donation to this fund to express gratitude to our rabbi for officiating at Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, baby naming ceremonies or other lifecycle ceremonies, which are conducted in our Temple sanctuary.

Bertha Freudenberg Flower Fund
Donations to the Flower Fund are used to provide the floral arrangements that adorn the pulpit at all of our worship services. Donations to the Flower Fund are usually made in memory of a loved one on the occasion of his/her “yahrzeit.” The minimum donation to the Flower Fund is $5.00, though larger donations are gratefully accepted.
