Provides Temple Beth-El with Challahs for Shabbat & Tot Shabbat

$150 for sixteen (16) Challahs during the year

Please place your orders by August 31.

 

Challah pickup days/times at the Temple only:

  • Thursdays – 4pm to 5:45pm
  • Fridays – at Shabbat Services
  • Sundays – at Religious School

The sixteen (16) Challah delivery & pickup periods are:

  • 09/07-09/10     Sunday: Parent Coffee & Schmooze
  • 09/21-09/24     Sunday: Parent Sukkah Building (save it for your Break-Fast)
  • 09/28-10/01     First Friday: Family Potluck – Dinner in the Sukkah
  • 10/12-10/15     Sunday: Parent Project Day
  • 11/02-11/05     First Friday: Grades 5 & 6
  • 11/16-11/19     Parent Project Day
  • 11/30-12/03     First Friday: All Grades & Jr. Choir; Sunday: Hanukkah Together
  • 12/14-12/17     Parent Project Day
  • 01/18-01/21     Sunday: Parent Project Day
  • 02/01-02/04     First Friday: All Grades & Sunday: Parent Project Day
  • 02/22-02/25     Sunday: B’nai Mitzvah Meeting
  • 02/29-03/03     First Friday: Grade 7
  • 03/14-03/17     Sunday: Parent Project – Purim Together
  • 04/04-04/07     First Friday: Grades 3 & 4
  • 05/02-05/05     First Friday: Grades K-1-2
  • 05/18-05/21     Sunday: Lag B’omer / Last Day of School Picnic

Loaves of Challah not picked up will be donated for Temple use.

NOTE:  We need at least 10 subscribers to permit the delivery of the challahs from Butterflake Bakery in Teaneck.  Please be one of those families.

  • Go to https://www.betheljc.org/give/donate-pay/
  • Check the box for Event Ticket/Fundraising Initiative
  • From the drop-down menu elect “Challah Subscription” and the total quantity you are buying.
  • Pay online or send a check payable to Temple Beth-El to 2419 Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07305. Please write Challah Subscription in the memo.
