Welcome the new year with music, majesty, and the warmth of community with Temple Beth-El. Led by Rabbi Leana Moritt, accompanist Ben Rauch,  and our wonderful new Music Director, Kyra Goldman. Together we will celebrate spiritual renewal, the joy of being in community, and the power of transformative change.

Rosh Hashana begins Friday, September 11 and Yom Kippur begins Sunday, September 20. Online registration opens August 15. 

High Holy Day services continue to be free of charge but we do require pre-registration  for all who will be attending, members and non-members alike. 

Current Members, if you have not yet done so, renew your membership here. If you are signed up for autopay,  your membership and Terumah/dues automatically renew; however, please consider increasing your pledge and be sure to include the increased security fee. If you have questions, please email admin@betheljc.org.  

If you are not a member of Temple Beth-El, we welcome you to join us for the High Holy Days. If you are interested in becoming a member, you can learn about membership and joining our congregation here. 

Temple Beth-El is dedicated to welcoming everyone who wishes to celebrate the High Holy Days with our community. To help us continue providing a place for everyone who wants to be part of our congregation, we ask those who can to make a meaningful donation in support of our High Holy Day services and programming. Your generosity ensures that we can continue this tradition of inclusivity and welcome for years to come.  

In addition to our services, we have a full schedule of programming this year. This Rosh Hashanah we will have Shofar and Schmooze on the Temple’s front steps and Tashlich at Liberty State Park. On Yom Kippur afternoon, we are pleased to offer Torah Study with Rabbi Steven Kushner and a meditative walk in Lincoln Park led by Robb Kushner. To close out our Yom Kippur services, we welcome the community once again for Yom Kippur Community Break Fast this year. (Free, but registration is required.)

Repeal the Appeal!

We all know it’s coming and no one wants to hear a fundraising appeal in the middle of our beautiful Kol Nidrei services. So please, help us get rid of it. Consider supporting Temple Beth-El with a donation so that we can continue to provide High Holiday services and programming for everyone who joins our community during the Yamim Noraim and throughout the year.

If we reach our goal of $60,000 in Kol Nidrei appeal donations by September 15, we will cancel the Kol Nidre Appeal speech. You can help Repeal the Appeal by adding a donation while registering for High Holy Day services, or by making a donation here and checking ‘Fundraising Initiative’ and selecting ‘Kol Nidre Appeal’ from the dropdown menu.
