Adi Boker – Born and raised in Israel, Adi always had a passion for baking. Her professional culinary journey began as a pastry cook at a well-known bistro. In 2015, she moved to the United States to pursue her culinary dreams. After graduating top of her class at The International Culinary Center’s pastry arts program, Adi immersed herself in New York City’s food scene, gaining experience in various bakeries and commercial kitchens, including Butter & Scotch, Union Square Events and Erie Coffeeshop & Bakery. In 2022, Adi joined Hudson Table as the general manager for Hoboken, where she not only oversees daily operations but also enjoys teaching various classes, with a deep
passion for our baking classes.
Michal Prevor – When founder/owner Michal Prevor learned about a fellow mom’s desperation, she immediately opened her heart, rolled up her sleeves and began baking towards a brighter future. Michal’s “babka fundraiser” facebook post quickly covered her friend Carmen’s expenses and soon evolved into Babka Bailout – a booming babka business committed to changing the world one babka at a time.
Babka Bailout now sells addictive, freshly baked babkas in 20 locations, ships hundreds of babkas weekly and has its own brick-and-mortar shop in Jersey City, NJ – the most diverse city in the nation. Babka Bailout’s devoted customer base devours babkas incorporating the signature flavors of a multi-cultural landscape. In addition to traditional cinnamon and chocolate babkas, Babka Bailout specializes in creating new flavors including cereal milk, ube, brie guava and savory za’atar feta and pesto.
“I never set out to become a baker, but nothing has ever felt more right and rewarding as Babka Bailout,” says founder Michal Prevor. Babka Bailout continues to donate to organizations such as World Central Kitchen, Bakers Against Racism, and The Hoboken Shelter. Jason Stahl –Jason Stahl is the founder and owner of Hank Schwartz’s Delicatessen & Appetizing, a ghost kitchen Jewish deli in Jersey City Heights. When he’s not curing his own gravlax and brining brisket for pastrami or serving up his delicacies at the vibrant Riverview Park Farmers Market, Jason works full time as the Senior Food Editor for 1-800-Flowers.com’s Gourmet Foods group. He’s also an Emmy Award winner, published author (20 Things You Didn’t Know About Everything) and has reported on nearly everything from North Korean tourism and why Las Vegas is great for kids. He lives in The Heights with his cookbook-writing wife and guitar-playing son.
