Serving Hudson County’s Progressive Jewish Community for Over 150 Years

Our Next Community Shabbat Dinner Will Honor Tom Rosensweet, President of Temple Beth-El from 2017-23!

When

August 25
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Event Type

After several years as a Temple Trustee, Tom became President in 2017, and helped lead the transition to a new settled rabbi and numerous changes in the administration of the congregation and has spearheaded the development of a new social hall/classroom area to replace our flood-ravaged one. His presidential term ended in 2023 but he is now serving as a vice president.

Celebrate Tom and his leadership!

The dinner will take place Friday, August 25 at 7pm. This dinner will be open to all with pre-registration by Tuesday, August 22. The cost of a full hot catered Shabbat dinner is $18 per person.

The dinner will replace the Kabbalat Shabbat prayer service this week. Everyone will help with the dishes and those who enjoy wine with dinner should bring a bottle to share. If the weather cooperates we’ll eat out on the Temple lawn. All/non-registrants will be welcome for our regular oneg/desert and we will offer the Mourner’s Kaddish for those who are remembering a loved one during the oneg.
