Join Temple Beth El’s book club, L’chayim Lit Book Club .
TBE’s L’Chayim Lit Book Club continues with good reads, great discussion, yummy noshes, and at the end of each meeting, the excitement of picking our next read.
Our next book is Disappearing Earth, by Julia Philliips.
In an isolated town in Far Eastern part of Russia two young girls go missing. NPR said, “Disappearing Earth comes closer in spirit to great American literature than most of the fiction set within U.S. borders.” The book was named one of the top ten books of 2019 by The New York Times Book Review.
Whether you’re a casual reader or a passionate bookworm, this is your opportunity to enjoy lively discussions and expand your reading repertoire, while (of course) noshing. Grab a copy, start reading, and come be part of the conversation! Thursday December 3rd at 7pm at the Temple Social Hall. Bring a snack to share. Discussion points will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well. Next book pick is up to you!
